Ryan Thompson Jr. is a race car driver from Tampa, Florida, whose passion for motorsports began long before stepping behind the wheel. Since making his racing debut in 2007, Ryan has competed across a variety of disciplines, gaining experience in everything from karting and stock cars to endurance racing and dirt modifieds.
Today, Ryan competes in Pro Late Models for established teams while building the foundation for his own professional motorsports program. Every step is centered on performance, professionalism, and meaningful partnerships, with each race weekend providing an opportunity to represent partners, connect with fans, and continue progressing toward higher levels of competition.
Off the track, Ryan believes motorsports is 90% business and 10% racing. Success isn't built by the driver alone, it's built through relationships, the racing community, and partnerships that create meaningful opportunities for businesses while making it possible to compete at the highest level.

2026 - Pro Late Models w/ Established Teams
Ryan is currently competing in 1-Pro Late Model (PLM) event per month with established teams throughout Florida and the Southeast, with RFD Motorsports, Anderson Racing, and other experienced teams. Every race is an opportunity to gain experience, strengthen relationships within the industry, and continue building the foundation for him to start his own PLM team in the next five years.
THE NEXT CHAPTER
2027 - Pro Late Models, CARS Tour PLM & ARCA Menards Series
Looking ahead to 2027, Ryan plans to expand his Pro Late Model schedule while pursuing opportunities to compete in the CARS Tour and the ARCA Menards Series with established teams, including connections with MBM Motorsports.
THE LONG-TERM VISION
2028 & Beyond - PLM Team & Climb NASCAR's National Series
Each step of Ryan's journey is focused on growing both on and off the track while working toward his long-term goal of fielding his own Pro Late Model team while continuing to compete with established organizations throughout the ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR's National Series.
The vision extends beyond simply owning a race team. Ryan is building his own Pro Late Model team into a professional racing organization that develops lasting partnerships, competes at the highest levels of stock car racing, and creates opportunities for businesses to grow alongside the program for years to come.
